Don’t Judge the Stop Sign
What happens when you come to a stop sign? You stop.
It may be inconvenient, especially if you’re running late. But it’s there for a reason, so you stop.
Imagine you’re in your car, cruising along open roads, enjoying the views. You come to the outskirts of a small town, your speed decreases, and as you get into the center of town, you come to a stop sign. You stop.
You know it’s there for others to move forward just as you do. It’s there to pace flow, sequence and sometimes density. It will be your turn soon.
Stop signs happen to everyone, no judgement. And no privilege. Someone driving a jaguar has to stop just as much as someone driving a moped.
You probably feel blocked in your life at times, and in your spiritual journey. Everyone does.
Sometimes something else needs to happen first. Sometimes it’s a pace or a sequence thing. Sometimes the sign denotes a dead end road, but that just means you need turn around.
A stop sign is not a moral judgement.
It’s not a criticism of your intent. Or your character. Or your value.
It doesn’t mean never move forward, it just means that you have to stop for a bit.
It’s just a pause in your flow.
Soon it will be your turn to go.
