Help for When You’re Anxious
Sometimes we’re super excited about something in our future. Other times, we’re nervous, or even dreading what’s coming up.
Being anxious feels heavy. It’s heavy in our bodies, in our emotions, and in our thoughts. I feel it mostly in my stomach, although I also notice how shallow my breath becomes when I’m anxious about something.
A long time ago, someone shared a tool with me for these very instances. I’ve used it for years and swear by it. When I remember to use it.
It seems too simple, yet it somehow works. Every. Time.
Bring the anticipated situation up in your imagination. Where is your body responding to it? Your stomach? Your heart? Your legs?
Breathe deeply once or twice, sending your breath to the area that’s agitated.
Keeping the situation in mind, think how you would address the following phrase and say it out loud:
“Universe, I ask for the most benevolent outcome for all.”
Or
“Angels, I ask for the most benevolent outcome for all.”
Or
“God, I ask for the most benevolent outcome for all.”
In saying this phrase, you are releasing control of the outcome and acknowledging the ability of Source to step in. You are asking for kindness for all (including yourself). You are asking for the best possible outcome at the time.
Then let the anxiety go. If it comes back, repeat the phrase.
Yes, within the situation you’ll do your part by acting with integrity and kindness. But as for the outcome, you’ve asked for the highest possible benevolence. Trust that it will unfold.
