Separating I from My

You, as a sentient being, are meant to embody both I and My.  Both are necessary.

I is Self.

My is ego.

The I is constant.  It’s who you are through time. Through life times.

This is why “I Am” is a powerful statement of agency.

My is what you experience, acquire and give away, think, feel and see.

My house, my kids, my divorce, my politics, my guilt, etc.

The ego is not the enemy.  It’s a tool for us.  It’s a persona we take on to be here.  However, it’s also how we run into problems when we think our My is all there is.  Or that it’s in control.

Part of being on the path is separating our I from our My.

Our presence is our very Beingness; the elements of our lives are our tools.
