Your Divinity is Already Here (Even with the Day Job)

When we open up to the Divine in our lives, as well as our greater Selves, we tend to approach it as we do advancing our career.
We jump in, determined to learn as much as we can, as quickly as we can. We associate hard work with success, thinking we have to be strategic and keep our eyes on the end goal. We weigh pros and cons when making decisions. Is this the right move? The right person? The right resource? The right use of time? The right take-away?
Am I on target? On purpose? On track?
It makes sense we would approach our spirituality in this way; action that is impactful, strategic and deliberate is highly valued in our culture. It’s the way up the ladder.
Unfortunately that’s not how spirituality works.
The primary principal for one on the spiritual path is that higher consciousness isn’t up, it’s in.
First, the Divine isn’t found in your head, the Divine is found in your heart.
What does that mean? It means you can’t think your way to your spirituality; you feel your way there. Yes, you can certainly take in information such as how astrology works or who the ascended masters are, but that’s only data.
Love is the frequency of Source. As you are a fractal of Source, love is your base frequency as well. Your life experiences exist to connect you with your inner base frequency. And you don’t think your way to love, you feel your way there.
Second, unless you live in a monastery, your own divinity is found WITHIN the very life you’re living right now-the one with the jobs, partnerships, kids, parents, neighbors, soccer games and vacations; as well as the divorces, job terminations, court trials, assaults, accidents and death.
Yes, being expected to grow outwards/upwards and achieve success in the world AND being compelled to grown inward simultaneously is asking a lot of you.
There will be many, many times when your day job and life responsibilities consume all of your energy and you will doubt your own Divinity. Don’t worry, you’re not doing anything wrong. That’s life, truly.
By Design, you are both a Sentient Being, a professional with skills and wisdom needed in this world, and a Spiritual Being, a fractal of Source. You can’t NOT be both, you already are.
